Five Greatest Stage Shows in Rock and Roll
Narrowing down 5 of the greatest rock and roll shows ever can be hard to do but, if I had to pick I would most definitely start with the Beatles at Shea stadium in ’65. The “British Invasion” starting right here is the United States was an amazing step up for rock and roll everywhere. This concert brought in around 56,000 people which is just epic. Also, speaking of epic, could there ever be another Woodstock? All the talent, emotion, great music and heart that went into this event, couldn’t have been more earth moving for rock and roll by definition.
These kind of shows obviously set the stage for the next generation of rock and roll to come. These are big shoes to fill but bands stepped up to plate and smacked a home run every single time. When The Rolling Stones and bands like U-2 took stage, it was yet another great break through with sold out shows and massive, music hungry crowds, wanting more. Greats like, Hendrex, Dylan, ACDC, Aerosmith , just to name a few, will be remembered as the ones who shaped and laid the foundation for great rock music everywhere. Hail, Hail, Rock and Roll!
